What is Platelet Rich Plasma
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an autologous blood concentrate of the patient's own growth factors. The growth factors are obtained by centrifuging the patient's whole blood to fractionate the whole blood into Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Proteins (growth factors).
The PRP proteins are rich in growth factors, and Dr. Hughes utilizes them during oral surgery procedures such as: bone graphs, implant placement, wisdom teeth removal, and other extractions to help enhance the healing of the surgical site.
Dr. Hughes and her team also incorporate PRP into certain facial rejuvenation procedures.
