The Hughes-Hoover team offer all forms of conscious sedation including nitrous oxide (gas), oral, and IV sedation. In many instances nitrous or oral sedation is adequate for calming and relaxing the patient. For more involved procedures and complicated oral surgery procedures and for medically compromised or special needs patients, we recommend IV sedation.
All patient vitals, including EKG and capnograghy, are monitored and recorded throughout the procedure. For added safety to the patient, Dr. Hughes utilizes registered nurses (RN) to assist in all IV sedation cases.
